Clinical Lab Scientist

Location: CDH Main Campus

Department: Laboratory (Inpatient and Outpatient Services)

Std Hrs/Wk: 40 h/wk

Shift: Day and On Call

Full/Part Time: Full-Time

Regular/Temporary: Regular


Responsibilities:

Performs laboratory tests necessary for diagnosis and treatment of patients at the request of attending physician(s). Responsible for reporting results which are accurate, as substantiated by the use of appropriate controls. Performs and demonstrates proficiency and understanding of routine procedures for all areas of the clinical laboratory with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in science
2. Current license from the CA State Department of Health
3. Must be able to perform Microbiology tests

Food Service Worker

Department: Food and Nutritional Services

Responsibilities:

The Food Services Worker duties will include but is not limited to food preparation, kitchen prep, assembly and delivery of patient meal trays, washing dishes, working the order window, taking food orders by phone and other duties related to providing meal service to patients, staff and the general public.

Qualifications:

1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. Prior work experience in an institutional food service environment is preferred
3. Must be able to lift 0-25 pounds
4. This position requires constant standing, bending and lifting.

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: CDH Main Campus

Responsibilities:

Functions independently in performing the nursing process through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of safe therapeutic care for all types of patients including those in complex situations with overt and covert needs and/or complication of treatment on his and her assigned patient care unit on a 12-hour shift basis. Incumbent must be accountable and responsible for patient care provided by assigned nursing staff resulting in continuity of patient care. Ability to triage, respond quickly and in a professional manner to patients in a variety of acuity levels presenting to the Emergency Department.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 1 year ED experience is required
2. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
3. Incumbent must be skilled to work with a wide range of staff as part of an interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses and ancillary staff
4. Has the ability to complete mathematical calculation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, equivalencies)
5. Current California Nursing License
6. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
7. Advance certification preferred but not required
